It's amazing the things you find when you're able to shut off the autopilot and actually experience the world around you.
As I was headed out this morning, I spotted a flash of yellow under the bushy potted fern at my front door. Even though we were running late (Little One was especially slow with his Cheerios today), I bent down and gently pushed back the fern to check it out.
I was rewarded with the sight of this amazing little mushroom. Overnight, a lemon-yellow parasol sprouted in the forest of the fern fronds.
I showed it to Little One, and we took a minute to soak in its perfection—and to take a picture to share! By this afternoon, it had shriveled up. I'm glad I didn't miss its moment of beauty.
I hope you find your own tiny treasure today.
